Short term goals
Get out of debt
What I’ve done so far:
- Got a new, higher paying job
- Picked up a massive amount of freelance near the beginning of the year
- Paid off all but one of my credit cards
- Pay off laser hair removal (by November 2011)
- Set my flexible spending account up for 2012 with enough money to pay off my braces and oral surgery (January 2012)
Pay off remaining credit card (by September 2011)

What I have left to do:
- Pay off student loan (by May 2013)
To be more social
What I’ve done thus far:
- Started monthly Cocktails & Cupcakes parties
- Started taking a few group fitness classes
- Traveled more frequently to see family
- Turned down offers to hang out less
- Partake in some of the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition’s mobile socials
What I intend to do to further my goal:
- Ask other couples out to dinner more frequently
- Start going to Dr Sketchy’s
- Travel more to see friends
To try to be happier
What I’ve done thus far:
- Switch jobs
- Cut back on freelance work
- Tried to institute some sort of chore schedule to keep the loft from becoming a depressing disaster (to mixed success)
- Spend more time with family
- Spend more time playing with Gordon
- Full disclosure: spend more time playing video games
- Made a list of places I want to visit at some point in my life
What I intend to do to further my goal:
- Start traveling
- Spend more time on creative endeavors
- Stop wasting time
- Update site more frequently
To lose some weight
My goal:

What I’ve done:
- Rejoined sparkpeople
- Started riding my bike to work (20-30 mins roundtrip)
- Participated in a charity bike ride
- Started taking weekly yoga and ballet classes
- Switched to different thyroid medicine
- Gotten braces (not the primary reason for getting them, but it’s sure helped!)
- Joined the gym at my office
- Began trekking to Mordor
- Walk during lunch (two-ish days a week with the girls)
What I intend to add to my plan:
- Continue trying to organically work more active activities into my life
- Do more charity bike rides
- Start taking swing dancing classes
- Walk Gordon more frequently
