Home Defense Strategies

 

The Home Defense portion of our self defense system is one of the most important steps you can take to defend your home and keep your family safe from violent intruders. This course will instruct you in defensive tactics that you need to learn and practice. They include procedures for gathering the family into your safe area or safe room, and defensive weapon and firearm training.

 

The defensive shooting tactics taught in the Home Defense program will be customized to your home's floor plan and layout. You will be shown in detail a plan of defense that will keep you and your family safe.

 

The combat mind set principles taught in Extreme Combat will help you develop the ability and confidence to perform and make life saving decisions under the stress of a home invasion.

 

Home Defense Tactics

 

The training will incorporate a tactical plan that is rehearsed by all members of the family. This training will be rehearsed until it is second nature. It will help prepare your family for an unexpected criminal invasion of your home.

 

The training is intensive and will cover defensive shooting, self defense principles and issues, and tactical strategies for protecting your home and family.

 

This is an 8 hour course and may run overtime. You must take our Intro to Handgun or our Basic Pistol course to attend the Home Defense course. Essentially, you must be competent in shooting skills and safe gun handling.

 

The Home Defense portion of the course will require shooting at a gun range. At the range you will shoot a handgun, shotgun, and an AR 15 carbine. All guns will be provided to you unless you have your own.

 

This course will also assist you in the selection of home defense weapons, introduce you to defensive shooting, highlight the law in reference to the use of deadly force, and develop the strategies and mindset necessary to effectively respond to a violent confrontation.

 

The tactical strategy portion will be taught in the home. There you will be shown tactics and strategies for defending yourself and your family. You and the family will go through numerous drills and defense maneuvers. For safety reasons, this portion of the class will be taught with dummy weapons. Once we get to the shooting range we will use real weapons with live ammo.

 

This program is intensive and complete. It affords you all the tools you need to keep your home secure and safe. Like an insurance policy, it is something we hope we never have to use. It is always better to be prepared and ready for a violent encounter that never happens, than not be ready when it does. Your family deserves to be safe and secure. This course is a small price to pay for their safety.
